Sheldon Calvary Camp

Calvary Day Camp offers a full recreational program for boys and girls ages 7 through 12.  Our day camp offers a faith-based community in which participants will build and strengthen friendships with fellow campers and counselors from the surrounding community and beyond.

Campers participate in group activities, games, and friendly competition daily.  They have the opportunity to participate in many different, traditional, and fun summertime activities throughout the camp experience.  Each camper will have opportunities to experience team-building activities as well as archery, arts and crafts, pony rides, tennis, fun group games, and daily free swim! In addition to the free swim, campers are given a daily instructional lesson to help them learn the basics of swimming. We feel that there is no better place to learn this life-long skill than at Calvary Day Camp!

Team Time Each day, campers will have a unique activity in all three Team Time stations: Team Building, Environmental Appreciation, and Arts and Crafts.

Electives Each day after Free Swim campers will be able to choose their next hour-long activity, called an elective.  Campers may choose from tennis instruction, pony rides, or archery.

Afternoon Competition Campers will be divided into teams and participate in an athletic game that focuses on honor and respect for their teammates and their opponents.  We believe it is important for children to learn competition through good sportsmanship and fun.

Each day will begin with a theme of the day and an activity for the whole camp.  Each afternoon will end with a team discussion about the day and a group celebration of the day's events!  Christian faith and spirituality are integrated into all aspects of our life together.

The day camp program runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm with extended care available for one hour before and after at a rate of $6 per hour.
