Sheldon Calvary Camp was founded in the tradition of giving. In 1936 the widow of Harry E. Sheldon, founding partner of then Allegheny Steel, donated the land in memory of her late husband to establish Sheldon Calvary Camp. It is in that tradition of giving that SCC continues. Generations of friends and families have given and continue to give gifts to the camp in many different ways. Here are four ways in which you can help share your resources and support the tradition of gift giving at Sheldon Calvary Camp:
Although Calvary Camp is a ministry of the Episcopal Church, less than 2% of the camp's budget is subsidized by the church. Also, the camp remains committed to keeping down the cost of attending camp and to the awarding of full and partial camperships to those children who come from less affluent homes. It is our goal that cost is never a reason a child cannot attend camp.
Therefore, Calvary Camp relies on the generosity of past, present, and future members of the community to contribute towards the camp's financial viability. Your tax-deductible contribution can be sent anytime to

Additionally, Calvary Camp is a qualifying agency for the United Way Campaign. If your company offers contributions through payroll deduction, be sure to enter United Way code #9579 for Calvary Camp. This ensures that your United Way contributions are forwarded directly to the camp.
If you love camp, please tell your friends! No amount of advertising is more convincing than a glowing report from someone who loves it here. Our mission is to touch as many people as possible with our ministry. You can help us extend our reach.
Please include the ministry of Calvary Camp among your prayers. It is only through God's grace that the work of the Camp finds its place and meaning is His kingdom.
Where your treasure lies, there your heart will be also.
