The West Property includes close to 400 feet of unprotected Lake Erie shoreline. Many people have enjoyed the scenic views and sunsets over Lake Erie, though access to the lake remains a challenge. The beach project calls for three large offshore breakwaters (piles of limestone boulders) that build the shoreline with natural sand and protect the land from further erosion damage. Additionally, the breakwaters serve as a barrier to preserve an area of calm water for safer swimming and boat launch. In response to time-sensitive permits, we have completed this project. You can see the difference at the beach in the two photos below.
